Choosing the right photographer can be difficult. My philosophy is to be transparent as possible. To help guide in your selection, here are a few questions I’m frequently asked.

Why did you become a photographer?

I’ve always been a creative/artistic person. After realizing, in middle school, that I wasn’t particularly good at drawing or painting, I was eventually drawn to other artistic routes. During this time, the internet was emerging. The next couple of years, I engulfed myself into learning graphic and web design. I loved creating a virtual space of my own and seeing how difficult elements combined to create something new. My countless hours on the internet introduced me to the world of photography. Since then, I’ve been teaching myself the fundamentals of photography and lighting. I never took any formal classes, just a lot of self discipline. After college, my best friend got engaged and this gave me the opportunity to shoot her engagement photos. This experience solidified and confirmed my photography direction. I realized that I loved photographing people and how they share and showed emotions. I’m always looking to be a better photographer, and I will never stop learning.

So, you do work as a full-time photographer?

Yes! I’ve spent several years trying to balance a job at a fast-paced advertising agency and running my business full time and it just wasn’t worth it. I was neglecting both jobs and it wasn’t fair for my employer or my clients. Now, I’m working full time as a photographer and loving every minute of it!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Still photographing and keeping up with past clients!

What kind of equipment do you shoot with?

I’m a Canon girl! I own all of the top-line Canon cameras and lenses in addition to wide array of lighting equipment. I always have back-up equipment available.

Are you insured?

Yes! My camera equipment is insured and I always have liability insurance!

Do you only shoot in Boston?

No, I’m available for travel anywhere! I’ve traveled to Portland, Pittsburgh, Detroit, and NYC to photograph weddings. For any location 90 miles from Boston, I may require additional travel fees to cover transportation and possibly lodging.

How much do you charge for a wedding?

I have several packages starting at $3000. Each package is designed to meet different needs. I understand each couple is different, so please email me for more details and we can discuss a package that will work for you.

How much do you charge for a portrait session (senior, family, children, headshots)?

Depending on the type of session you are looking for, I start at $350. Please don’t hesitate to give me a call or email me directly.
