Fashion Shoot: Spring & Romance

I love when Spring rolls around. Winter is always such a slow season for me. It’s something about the cold that make me want to be lazy and cuddle in bed all day. When the weather changes and flowers are in bloom, that change breathes life into me, and gets my creative juices flowing again. To kick off this Spring, I had a wonderful shoot with two fabulous ladies. We had so much fun and I hope you love these photographs as much as I do!

Ambika: Fun Beach Shoot

This summer went by too quickly. I remember getting excited for the warm summer days and before I knew it, I’m watching the leaves change color. Summer is an extrememly busy time for wedding photographers. Even though it’s gone, I’m proud of the work I produced over the months. One of my favorite shoot was with a young aspiring model Ambika and our stylist Valorie. We had a blast shooting together. Although it started raining, we made the most of the opportunity. The rain added that extra element and when combined with my flash, it created an interesting effect.

This shoot gave me the chance to play around with some new editing techniques. I hope you like these photographs as much as I do!

Salem Beach Shoot

I’m so glad it’s finally warm here in Boston! This shoot was only a couple of weeks ago, but hopefully it’s the last chilly shoot until winter! I had a blast shooting this session. We worked quickly and I’m so grateful to the team for making the shoot such a success. Our model for the day, Abby was amazing, and she looks stunning! The beautiful dress featured in the shoot was designed by Kelsey and was just perfect for the beach location.

Last, but not least, this shoot wouldn’t have been possible without Holly. Her makeup work was amazing as always, and she coordinated the whole event!

Here are the photographs from the fun shoot:

Thanks so much to my team (Jen and Jonathan) for their assistance and perseverance! I know it was chilly but we got through it :)

And Thank you to the our model Abby, our designer Kelsey, and our makeup artist Holly. I hope we can work together again in the future!

Everything Enamour Fashion Shoot | Cape Cod, MA

A month ago, I had the honor of being part of an amazing photo shoot. The shoot was for June Monteiro, owner of the clothing line Everything Enamour. The team was amazing, and I’m so grateful for everyone’s hard work. The shoot was originally planned for Saturday, everything was in place and of course, in typical New England fashion came a snow storm. We eagerly postponed the shoot to Sunday as not to lose anymore time. Luckily for us, the Cape was not hit as hard and was only hit with rain. When the day of the shoot came, it was beautiful out. The day started beautifully, it was actually warm… considering it was winter time in Massachusetts. Towards the end of the day, when we were at the beach, no one was able to feel their fingers. It never felt so good saying “it’s a wrap!”. Stacie, our model was a trooper and was amazing despite the freezing conditions. Again, many thanks to my assistants, Rene, Stacie, and June for making the shoot so successful. I’m so excited to share these photographs!

Our first location, an abandoned gas station/ice cream shop. It was the perfect backdrop for the beautifully colorful clothing designed by June.

Fashion Shoot: Shannon

I had a blast shooting with the beautiful Shannon. She was a trooper, I had her pose and look pretty all while bugs were crawling all over. We traveled to Lincoln, MA where I knew was secluded and would provide a beautiful backdrop for our shoot. We found a lovely area right off the side of the road. The folks around there were very nice, they thought we were lost or had car issues. I’m just glad no one called the cops on us. Technically, we were on public land… but you never know, the authorities never seem to like photographers. It all turned out well, and I’m extremely happy with the results.

Here are the photographs from my session with Shannon. I took this opportunity to test out different post editing techniques. Which one is your favorite?

All photographs were taken with the Helios 58mm f/2 lens and 580ex II speedlite coupled with the Photoflex xs octodome.
